Does changing a clutch plate on a ford mondeo, involve removing the engine and gear box?

because the clutch mounts to the back of the engine between the engine and the transmission there%26#039;s no other way,to remove them,and that%26#039;s for any car made the transmission has to come out on anything to change a clutch,good luck.
